Binary compatibility is a matter of some importance to library authors - breaking it must only be done when there is no other choice, as it can have dire repercussions downstream.
We’ll explore here a few perfectly innocent design decisions that can, and often will, eventually break binary compatibility without the author realising it’s happened.
